The Vladimir breed was registered in 1946. It was created during the work of the Gavrilovo-Posad breeding horse breeding center.
The Vladimir heavy breed was bred as a result of the crossing of local breeds with shires and Clydesdals. The main role in the formation of the new breed was played by the cleeds, of which the most famous were Border Brand, Lord James and Glen Albin, who became the ancestors of the breed. Continue reading
